PERS 2004: Personal and Professional Development

A series of short, MasterClass style videos developed for a state-wide course hosted on the University System of Georgia eCampus platform.

For this project, I:
  • Wrote the host's scripts, totaling 10,128 words and approximately 25 pages, with a heavy emphasis on personal connection with students.
  • Edited 14 scripts written by our Subject Matter Experts (SME) for consistency in voice and flow.
  • Divided the 15 units of the course into 41 short videos, deciding when and how to section out the content to maximize students' understanding and retention of the key learning goals.
  • Invented a method of visual outlining for each video which acted as the central production hub for the entire team and allows us to complete all 41 videos in around 2 months.

Visual Outlines

I created visual outlines which we used to visually track the integration of learning goals, script approval, asset completion, and edit progress. Built in the the digital blackboard platform, Miro, I color coded each outline so our editor could use the boards as an outline for her edits.  In addition, I added placeholders for titles and motion graphics for our motion designers to track asset production and mark their progress live.
